Set to take place on October 10-11, 2009, El Dorado’s Great Italian Festival will be held from 11am to 4pm along Virginia Street, in front of the El Dorado Hotel Reno.

Get ready for gastronomic delights like a spaghetti-sauce cook-off, a gelato-eating contest and a gourmet Italian buffet. If you drop by at wound 2 pm, you’ll be in for a pasta-licious surprise: traditional pasta bowls for only $1! For those with more adventurous tastes, feel free to join the grape-stomping contest and the bocce ball tournament. For the green thumb, there will be a big farmers’ market. For the musically- inclined (and those who want to bring out those dancing shoes!), live bands will also be playing Italian music for the duration of the festival.
